A: I don’t know if narcissistic is actually right, because you don’t appear to be full of self love. I think you’re a product of your environment and what else could you really do but adapt to your settings and your upbringing. My parents have alot of debts to pay off but I am pretty sure they don’t qualify for financial aid because they make to much money, I am 21 years old. A: This is really subjective. When you apply to colleges, they really look at the overall financial situation and not just the income/assets etc.

I recommend apply to a few top privates. They generally have a much bigger funding/financial aid packages. Also, with your FAFSA, if there is a place to write special circumstances, you can write up your case and see if they approve you.

For privates, they also have a CSS profile, which is a different way to analyze your financial needs and you can mention the liabilities, debts, other siblings going to school etc. There is a specific section in there for special needs/situations, so it might be worth a shot.

Also, once you get into a university, most universities have a predetermined method of offering loans, incase you are not covered by financial aid.

Another option could be going to a junior college and working simulataneously for two years. Then apply for a transfer. This way, you bear the real cost for only two years (funded by 2 yrs of savings and minimal loans) and do not compromise too much on the experience and quality of education.

Q: Auto Insurance Underwriters or Anyone please help!!! I need suggestion on how to fix my issue?
I was in Illinois and as a car owner I got my insurance coverage from State Farm. I moved to Texas in 2006 leaving the old car in IL and purchased a new car TX. I transferred my insurance from IL agent to a TX agent. All my statements were received via online billing. I decided to move back to IL and around that same time apparently the State Farm agent I had in TX got in trouble for unethical practices and all his customers were transferred to another TX agent. Things apparently got shuffled and I never received my online email notification because I pay every 6 months. When it occured to me now back in IL I didn’t get a bill I logged in and found that my account had been cancelled. State Farm says they cannot re-insure me because 30 days had lapsed. I have been with them and never late since 2000 and I don’t know what to do now. Can someone suggest something I can try because now I’ll have a gap in coverage. A: If State Farm will not insure you— talk to other companies and get quotes from them.

if you are now in IL, you will need to go to the DMV and transfer the tag and pay taxes. You can do this after you get the new car insurance. Just take proof of residency with you to the agent.

Q: do i have to sue the construction company or will my insurance take care of me?
in the recent storm in illinois i drove my car into a construction area. all the signs were flooded over and i couldnt see that the road had been torn up and in turn flooded my car. the area is right outside my work place. they have been constructing for some time now. this area is supposed to be an entry wa into the parking lot. however the storm knocked down all the signs and flooded over them. i didnt realize the water was this high or the road was dug up. my car was stuck had to e towed out and flooded up and over the passenger seat and into the back floor boards. the insurance company said the car may be totalled amd they came and towed it away. my question is what chance do i have of getting a new car. if they pay it off im left with nothing. do i have to sue the construction company? what do i do?

A: if your car is totalled then your insurance will pay off the vehicle. if your vehicle is less than 2 years old ( and you purchased it new ) more than likely they will replace your car.

Q: Where to hiking and when?
My friends and I just graduated from college and want to go do some outdoor activities, hiking being one of them. However, we are new to this and do not know where to begin. We are planning to take rent-a-cars to our location. The following is what we are wondering:
1. Where is the best campsite to go to….we are currently in Illinois.
2. Would July be a good time to go?
3. Are there group packages or activities that can be obtained?
4. Any advice that can be give from the pros or those who ar experienced!

A: I don’t know that area, I’m on the other edge of the world (Cali). But summer is ’skeeter season. Have some repelant.

Basicly just go out and practice. Get a pack and take a picnic and go just about anywhere. Some of the coolest hikes I’ve gone on were near the edge of towns, like along railroad tracks. But maybe that’s not so safe? Never a problem for me to.

I’m sure the state has a list of trails. Here in California the State parks have trail maps and the ratings and lists of stuff to take. And Rangers with lots of answers.

Just get a couple good water bottles and some snack food. Like jerky and peanuts and …GORP= good old rasins and peanuts. I used to eat alot of trail mix.

Find a place and go have fun. Make sure you do take a couple short walks with your gear before you take off for a few days to be sure you know what its really like.

A walking stick can really be helpful.

And extra socks. Blisters are nasty.

A: I like everything except Mcfadden. There’s a ton of speculation that since Al Davis always takes the flashiest player available, Mcfadden’s the pick. Lane Kiffin has to know what he’s talking about when he says the raiders might be looking to trade down or when he says that they’re not looking for a running back. They have Justin Fargas, Dominic Rhodes, Lamont Jordan, and Michael Bush. Q: How do I know if I need a new drive shaft, transfer case or a rear end or rear axle or are those 2 the same?
I was pulling a trailer from Iowa to Illinois in my 1995 GMC Yukon.About 2 1/2 hours into the ride I heard a really loud pop and the truck started spinning on the highway. When it stopped me and my husband got out of the car to see if anything fell.There was nothing hanging or on the ground just smoke by the back tires.I then started the truck and tried to move the truck out of the way I moved just little bit forward and my husband told me to get out because it was on fire.The fireman said that the transfer case had a whole in it and that is where the fire came from.After the fire was put out the police officer tried to move the car again and there was just a lot of loud noise and shaking coming from the rear of the car.I’m not sure if I need a whole new rear end,rear axle,or a transfer case.Any suggestions? Please help!

A: For starters, if the transfer case has a hole in it, that needs to be replaced for sure. The differential and any rear brake concerns can be checked after the drive shaft is removed.
I’m guessing the fire was the result of the transfer case oil getting in contact with either the exhaust or some other extremely hot components.

Q: My Saturn SL2 with a new battery won’t start – cranking and turning, but not starting.?
I live in Illinois and we recently had a brush of very cold weather (where I started my car every day) followed by a few very warm days. I tried to start my car on Saturday and it wouldn’t. I figured it was because of the cold, but after two warm days, I replaced the battery and tried again. Same noise.

The car is getting power, because the radio, lights, dash, etc. all work. I have 3/4 tank of gas, oil levels are fine. The sound I get is like it’s JUST about to start up and it doesn’t. It’s cranking, the starter works because I hear it clicking, it’s turning, but it won’t “catch” for lack of a better word. Eventually I’m sure I’ll have to get it towed and fixed, but would like to know if there’s something(s) I can check on my own and fix myself without having to pay the tow bill to figure that out.

First off – I did check the battery cables and cleaned those with a wire brush. I made sure since those things usually are overlooked.

Secondly – just had all the belts replaced about 2 months ago, so I’m pretty sure it’s not that. The belt that I can see is turning just fine.

I’m going to wait for someone who knows a bit more about cars to take a look and check the spark plugs and sensors for sure, otherwise I’m sure it’ll have to be towed.
Oh, and no, the check engine light is not on.

A: (catch) as long as your starter is turning over your car that’s good its not your starter..but if your starter isn’t turning over your moter (spinning it) its your starter .your starter needs to in-gage and spin your moter to start it..starter is easy to fix…it might not be getting spark as it sounds to me.to test this its not getting spark get a large nail pull a spark plug wire and put the nail into the end and either hold it or place it on a safe spot as long as the nail is touching metal.as you turn over the car have someone look if there is spark.and if no spark or very weak.is your solenoid or coil.this is a easy fix..good luck i hope i helped.
